Journal Entry: being a scribe
Wow, who knew writing could be so hard! I got the
chance to be a scribe for a day, and it was harder than I thought!
We had to write with reeds instead of pencils and wrote on
papyrus paper instead of normal paper! The reeds were really
hard to hold, and my hand was burning in the hot sun. On the bright
side, at least I brought a hat! Also, got a chance to be in scribe
school for a little bit! Once again, it was way harder
than it seemed! We wrote the same symbols for hours! Someone
told me that students hated the work so much, they skipped classes,
which got them in major trouble. After the class was finally over, the
teacher told me to imagine 4-5 years of that! So even though
being a scribe is pretty cool, it's tiring and super hard!
